Description:

At SMU our intention is to help our adult students achieve their goals. Two tracks in creative writing are offered: fiction and nonfiction, and both culminate in the SMU Writer's Seminar in New York, where students' works are edited and reviewed by agents and publishing house editors.

The SMU program strives to teach hands-on, story-based, publishable writing techniques and we encourage our students to complete their projects by offering classes that range from story development to a final polishing of a completed manuscript.
At SMU, writers write.
