Description:Sponsored by the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing at Arizona State University, the Desert Nights, Rising Stars Writers Conference returns February 23-26, 2012 with new faces, old friends, and a renewed emphasis on developing fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in a true community of writers. The conference brings writers of all levels together for four exhilarating days in sunny Arizona. Participants get the chance to hone their craft in the classroom with distinguished writers, sharing dialogue during classes, readings, and other events. Master Classes add six hours of morning instruction, spread over three days, in a group of no more than 10. By keeping the number of participants small, we are able to offer an experience that is both intimate and affordable.
