| Description: | The UND Writers Conference, now in its 39th year, is the largest event of its kind in the upper Midwest. This year's conference, "Revolutions," includes the writers Salman Rushdie, Amiri Baraka, Russell Banks, Alice Fulton, Junot Diaz, and Peter Kuper. The conference includes readings and presentations by authors, a meet-the-author discussion with Salman Rushdie (who is also coming as a part of the University's 125th anniversary celebration), panel discussions with topics related to the theme, a film festival, an art exhibit at the North Dakota Museum of Art, and various receptions. All events are free and open to the public. |
