| Description: | Now in its eighth year, the Far Field Retreat for Writers continues to offer small workshops with prominent writers who are known for their excellent teaching. Past faculty members have included Reg McKnight, Lee K. Abbott, Laura Kasischke, Jim Daniels, Jack Ridl, Tony Ardizzone, Antonya Nelson, Dennis Hinrichsen, Sue William Silverman, Allison Joseph, Gerry LaFemina, Jerry Dennis, Thomas Lynch, Anne-Marie Oomen, Annie Gilson, Maureen Dunphy, Alan Cheuse, Brenda Flanagan, Dinty Moore, Nancy Eimers, and others. Our students range in age and background; some have graduate degrees already and are actively publishing both in journals and books; all are looking for a supportive community of writers.
