| Description: | Writers accepted after submission of writing sample or project goal for new writers. AAC workshops are geared to writers who want to get away from their daily routines and who want to write more than focus on being a tourist to help avoid the blank page. The groups are kept intentionally small, the work intense to make the most of the time writers have in a workshop setting and time spent privately writing. When one needs a break the beach and pool are right there, as are the many picturesque villages. For longer workshops, there is one day off to explore the capital of the island, museums, villages. Writers should be willing to spend a good amount of time writing alone in the privacy of their rooms which have a private balcony overlooking the sea. Work-in-progress and new writing produced in Andros is discussed, group feedback, private one-on-one meetings with instructor. Special meals are made just for the workshop group which meets in the evening on the hotel veranda by the sea. Quiet time to write, read, relax. |
